JANUARY 2022 real estate report

January 2022 Connecticut Market Conditions:

The last few years have been a huge win for sellers in Connecticut, and 2022 is starting off with more of the same!

January Sale Prices

January Home Sale Prices:

Prices YTD rose 5% over 2021.

The median home sale price rose 5% year over year to $300,000 in 2022.

New listings

January New Listings:

New listing inventory is down by almost 25% over January 2021.

Surprisingly, new home listings are also down. With inventory in record demand, this sudden drop in homes for sale will only spell more of the same buyer competition we've seen in the last few years.

What comes up must come down! It's only a matter of time before the pendulum swings in the other direction and buyers get the upper hand again, but only time will tell when that is. In the meantime, it's the very best time to sell right now!
