While Connecticut as a whole has enjoyed rising home sale values for the last several years, the tide has changed for most of Connecticut's most expensive towns! 9 of 10 of the state's most expensive towns have seen their home sale prices fall continuously since 2018. Here are the ten most expensive cities in the state, and their current median home sales prices:

TOP TEN MOST EXPENSIVE TOWNS IN CONNECTICUT:

1

DARIEN: $1,250,000

2

GREENWICH: $1,207,544

3

NEW CANAAN: $1,150,000

4

WESTPORT: $1,050,000

5

WESTON: $685,000

6

WILTON: $669,000

7

RIDGEFIELD: $597,500

8

ROXBURY: $585,000

9

EASTON: $550,000

10

FAIRFIELD: $539,000

All but Roxbury have seen their home sale prices drop since 2018.

Why? The obvious culprit would be recent tax laws changes limiting the amount of property taxes that can be deducted, although CT has seen many other new taxes in place in recent years. It is simply becoming more and more costly to live in the Nutmeg State, especially for those in its most expensive areas.
