Wolcott is a residential town located in New Haven County, Connecticut.  Wolcott was founded in 1796 and was originally named Farmingbury. This is a town that really needs to be visited to understand the feel and character of the community. Wolcott has a small rural town or “suburb” feel, but is hardly considered rural, as it is wedged between Southington and Waterbury .
